Vehicle Collecting
If at this point you are thinking to yourself “Say WHAT?!” I totally understand. But what YOU need to understand is that this is not as far-fetched as you may be thinking it is. People have strange ideas of what makes up a proper collection.
I know a woman who collects these little porcelain figurines that are called Hummels – I know several older men who collect stamps, and I know a guy who collects automobile hood ornaments (but in the latter case when I say “collects” what I mean is tears them off of the cars and displays them on shelves in his man cave). One of my neighbors collects Delft Pottery from Holland – and because I regularly travel to Holland to visit our relatives I have been bringing her small items I bought at boot sales there – and she bloody loves me for it. I am pretty sure that if I was into 70-year-old women I could hit that. But nuh-uh, this homie don’t roll that way.
Back on topic – it turns out that a lot of players “collect” vehicles in the game. It is understandable to most players that a gamer might have a fave car to drive in a game like WD2 but collecting them? Yes, but let me explains.
First you have to start by grasping that ALL of the cars, trucks, and bikes in the game are based off of REAL WORLD MODELS. That is to say that each vehicle was not made up, it was simply copied from a real-world example. They change the names of course, because they lack the license to USE them in the game, but real world they are.
So if you know the real world name for the in-game model, then yeah, you know a lot about that car, truck, or bike. And that is where the whole collecting thing enters the picture. See it turns out that some gamers are really into subsets of cars. For example there is the whole JDM – or Japanese Domestic Market – scene. Then there are Supercars, Muscle Cars, and even Movie and TV cars (and I am not just talking about the version of Kitt the talking car in the game either).
So that should enlighten you with respect to car collecting in the game. Now to help you out with maybe starting your OWN Vehicle Collection, here is a complete list of the in-game cars and the real-world ones that they are based off of. I include costs, and classes (just in case you want to collect German Sporties or JDMs or Movie/TV cars yourself). Hey, we are NOT judging mates. Not at all!

Collecting Vehicles
The most popular collection schemes in WD2 for Vehicles is collecting in sets such as:
- American Muscle
- American Sport
- JP Sport
The biggest complaint though is that not all of the various vehicles can by purchased or otherwise added to the player’s garage. There are models in the world that cannot be obtained other than stealing them – but that does not add them to the player’s garage for summoning via the Car on Demand App.
