When a dog disappears, it is always terrible, but it is crucial to maintain hope. Dogs may reappear months or even years after they disappeared, usually when we least expect them.
A remarkable miracle occurred for one family when their aging dog found them again after three years apart. An 18-year-old dog named Binky, also known as Mr. B, was taken in by Dorchester Paws, a refuge for animals in South Carolina, last month.
Before being picked up, a Good Samaritan discovered the dog “wandering around” on the street.
Binky was in poor health; he had overgrown nails, rotten teeth, was extremely matted, underweight, and flea-infested. In accordance with a Facebook post, the shelter shaved his fur, examined him, and offered the old dog life-saving care.
While cleaning up Binky, they came across a microchip. They scanned it to determine the dog’s owner. and were shocked to discover Binky had been gone for three years!
When he wasn’t discovered, “they were completely devastated,” Dorchester Paws wrote. Despite their best efforts, they were unable to locate him. All they wished for was to find him and scan him. For years, they had been anticipating the call. Finally returning home after three years was Binky. A volunteer at the shelter stepped up and transported the dog’s family six hours away.

Mr. B may now rest comfortably with the family that saved him from a shelter all those years ago after completing this arduous journey. Although Binky is elderly in dog years, we are confident that he will be pleased to live out his days with his devoted family.
