4 paws Hope received a call regarding a senior dog who was tied up without food or water. His owner died four years ago, leaving him in the care of an elderly woman who ignored him.
The 12-year-old dog had severe skin issues, no teeth, was filthy, and hadn’t been washed in who knows how long.
They named this wonderful dog “Roger” and took him to the nearest veterinarian for adequate medical care.
Roger was treated for his infirmities and given a much-needed wash before being placed in the care of a kind foster family. He is now being treated for anemia, intestinal parasites, and skin and ear problems.
Roger was transformed not just on the appearance, but also on the inside, thanks to the love and care of his rescuers, vet team, and foster mom.
