Disabled Dog Learns To Balance And Move On Front Paws With Help From Caring Owner
Putol, a sweet puppy who was abandoned and left to fend for herself, was born without hind legs. Despite this challenge, the six-year-old dog has not let her physical limitations hold her back. Thanks to the patience and kindness of her new owner, Danilo Codilego Jr., Putol has learned to balance on her front legs and even run with impressive speed.
The name Putol, which means “chopped” in the Tagalog language of Luzon, The Philippines, was given to her by her new owner. Danilo shared that people didn’t think Putol would live long, but he had the courage to take her in and give her the care she needed. Despite the risks, Danilo felt compelled to help Putol and has been rewarded with the joy of watching her thrive.
As shown in a heartwarming video, Putol is frequently seen running and playing with other dogs in the Casiguran district of Quezon City. Although she can’t run on all fours, Putol’s determination and positive attitude have won the hearts of many who have witnessed her in action.
Danilo shared that Putol is not a picky eater and enjoys the same foods he and his family eat. However, due to her illness, she is unable to have puppies. This doesn’t seem to bother Putol though, as she appears to be too busy having fun and living life to the fullest.
