Brain-injured puppy makes miraculous recovery after two months of treatment, capturing hearts along the way

When a little puppy was hit by a car and suffered a head trauma, Animal Aid was called to the rescue. The pup was suffering from incoordination and paddling, and it was clear that immediate medical attention was needed. After two months of intensive treatment, the puppy has made a remarkable recovery that is sure to melt hearts everywhere.

At Animal Aid, the puppy was treated for brain injury with a medicine that reduces brain swelling. She was also kept hydrated with an IV drip and given plenty of rest to heal. Although she regained awareness and was able to eat with support within a few days, she was unable to orient or focus herself and circled helplessly. The team hoped that more healing time would help and that her circling wouldn’t be permanent.

After a few weeks of waiting, Animal Aid staff were thrilled to see the puppy’s playful spirit start to emerge. Her coordination improved, and she was able to interact and play with the team. They named her Dilli, which means heart in Hindi, and watched in amazement as her normal abilities gradually returned.

Dilli has captured the hearts of all who have cared for her during her healing journey. Her story serves as a reminder that sometimes, waiting patiently is the best thing you can do.
