A Man’s Heartwarming Mission to Help Senior Dogs Find Love Again

A Man’s Heartwarming Mission to Help Senior Dogs Find Love Again

After his beloved dog passed away, Steve Greig felt the weight of his loss. He knew he had to do something to honor his furry friend’s memory, so he set out to adopt a rescue dog from a local shelter.

However, he didn’t want just any dog; he wanted to give a second chance to a senior dog who might be overlooked by potential adopters.

That’s how Greig ended up with a 12-year-old Chihuahua with a heart murmur and bad knees, and soon after, he welcomed more senior dogs into his life, becoming a proud dad to 10 elder shelter rescues.

His day starts at 5 a.m. with preparing breakfast for all his furry friends, each with their specific diet. The rest of the day is filled with walks, vet appointments, and a lot of love and cuddles.

Greig has a special place in his heart for senior dogs. He believes that these animals are wiser and have a clearer sense of who they are. It’s easy to develop a relationship with a pet who knows itself so well.

Greig’s commitment to caring for his older dogs is nothing short of heartwarming, and it shows through the joy his animals bring him.

Even with his busy schedule, he takes the time to ensure they’re well-cared for and even comes back from work during lunch to give them treats.

Along with his senior dogs, Greig has a pig, two ducks, pigeons, cats, and a few chickens. Though he has no more room for pets, he plans to adopt more senior dogs in the future. Love sees no age, and Greig’s story is a testament to that. Knowing that his furry friends are happy and loved makes his days worthwhile, and it’s clear that his pets feel the same way about him.
