A Heartwarming Video of a Golden Retriever’s Friendship with a Newborn Baby Brother
Boston resident Whitney Parks couldn’t wait to introduce her one-year-old Golden Retriever, Hinckley, to her baby Theodore, who was due to arrive in October 2020. She was thrilled to see how quickly Hinckley took to the role of big brother, snuggling up to Theodore and sharing meals with him.
Whitney, a communications professional, was amazed to witness the bond forming between the two. She recalled how Hinckley initially believed Theodore was his new toy, but soon realized that he was here to stay. “From the moment Teddy arrived, Hinckley became infatuated with him and demanded to be involved in all of his activities,” Whitney said.
The two would snuggle together during tummy time, and Hinckley would attend each of Theodore’s feedings, even stealing his burp towel when Whitney wasn’t looking. Whitney was delighted to see how Hinckley was taking on the role of big brother, looking out for Theodore’s well-being.
Whitney believes that growing up with a four-pawed older brother will be a wonderful experience for Theodore. She can’t wait for the two of them to interact more and become great buddies, with Hinckley always keeping a watchful eye on his little brother. “Hinckley may not fully understand what Teddy is, but he knows he is unique and must protect him,” Whitney said.
Watching the heartwarming bond between Hinckley and Theodore is a reminder of the incredible loyalty and companionship that dogs offer their human families.
