His soul is broken just thinking of a warm bed while chained outside in the snow.

We discovered Nakia chained under a heavy blanket of snow on July 1st. It’s difficult to ascertain how long he had endured the harsh elements before he was finally found. Shivering from the cold, he appeared to have gone without sustenance for quite some time. His confinement to a chain had left him trapped, unable to escape the bitter cold.

A stroke of luck came when an electrician, performing routine checks on the network, stumbled upon Nakia. With unwavering compassion, he and his wife dedicated their efforts to freeing the unfortunate dog from his chains.

Later that same afternoon, we rushed Nakia to our veterinarian’s care. The little boy was riddled with ticks and displayed signs of malnourishment, indicating that he had likely been recently chained. His neglected state was evident from the injuries on his neck, and his fur was in a pitiable condition with open wounds.

Nakia underwent a blood transfusion and received necessary vaccinations to begin his path towards recovery. By the following day, his progress was heartening. While some of his formerly black fur had turned a slightly white hue, his vitality was returning. After spending a few days under our veterinarian’s watchful eye, Nakia was given the green light to return to his new home.

Initially, Nakia exhibited signs of trepidation, understandably harboring a fear of abandonment. However, with time and care, he began to flourish. He found solace in leisurely walks around his newfound surroundings. To Nakia, we say: fear not, for you are secure within our care. Your days of uncertainty are behind you.
