Jordan isn’t your typical dog, according to ilovemydogsomuch.
This dog has seen the best and worst of humans in his little existence. When he was kidnapped by an angry homeless guy, his torment began. The man let out steam by strangling the dog and slicing off his leg. He then threw the dog 30 feet into a South Los Angeles river.
Jordan clung to an empty chips bag in the river for two days, doing his hardest to keep afloat. He was terribly dehydrated and his wounded limb had festered by the time he was discovered. Jordan was barely alive as the rescuers descended down the hillside to save him.
Jordan was transported to the hospital in severe condition, and veterinarians quickly determined that the dog’s life was improbable. To treat the infection from his amputated leg, he needed surgery and blood transfusions, but he was too weak to be operated on.
Jordan’s rescuers didn’t want him to succumb to his severe injuries. They lavished the puppy with affection and pleaded with him to stay. It was nothing short of a miracle when the dog was ready for surgery in just four days!
Jordan still had to fight with mange and bacterial infections after his leg surgery. Meanwhile, he was placed in foster care, where his foster mother and doggy siblings repeatedly encouraged him to keep fighting. Jordan healed completely and bloomed into a beautiful and vibrant dog thanks to continued physical treatment and mental assistance!
His lost limb has never stopped him from swimming or running, and he likes bringing joy to his family. Jordan is a strong and tough dog who refused to let his abuser’s evil shadow influence his beautiful soul! His incredible narrative of hope and inspiration has touched our hearts to the core!
