Dumped Hopelessly in a Box with 3 Broken Legs
Meet Mao Mao, a sweet little dog who was found dumped at our China shelter. She was in rough shape, with matted fur and fractures, and too nervous to eat or drink. But after just one day at the shelter, she began to trust us and allowed us to pet her and show her affection.
We took her to the vet for a full check-up and were shocked to discover that she had three broken bones. But Mao Mao was a brave little soul, and she underwent successful internal fixation surgery. After the surgery, she even started eating again and was able to go for a little walk.
Mao Mao’s life was completely changed for the better in just 15 days. Her matted fur was shaved off, and she became a love bug with sparkling eyes. She is now preparing for adoption, along with other dogs at the shelter.
Mao Mao’s story shows that even though broken bones can be fixed with surgery, it’s love and care that truly heal the soul.
