Meet Addie. She was abandoned on the street with heavy pregnant and blind eye. We got a report and come in time to save her before she’s giving birth… Of course she and her puppies can not survived on the street. We are at the Vet. he seemed relatively healthy and everyone fell madly in love with her.
Dr Jeff did an initial eye exam to make sure nothing needed to be addressed immediately. She is completely blind and the right eye. She also had bad yeast infection in both ears so that is also being treated. Her skin and coat are in poor condition, but a good diet, medicated baths and once she is done with her litter, will help that.
Now, the question everyone’s minds, how many puppies!!?
Day 2: Four boys and 2 girls, but unfortunately isn’t done yet. So far all seem to be strong babies and nursing. No cleft palates. Addie is doing pretty well considering.
Day 7: Addie is taking a little nap while her little ones have an apre’s breakfast snack.
Day 8: Is everyone ready for a little excitement!! Bowie, Cole, Dolly, Ella, Freddie and George are doing something other than eating!!
Day 16: A little random Saturday morning puppy cuteness.
Day 17: There’s a whole lot of “action” going on in the whelping box this afternoon!!
Day 18: Lunchtime!!
Day 21: Hang on to your hats and grab some popcorn! The first mighty battle is going on in the whelping box!! Haha!
Day 22: The puppies are 3 weeks old today and everyone is doing well, except… someone has her knickers in a bunch! I had to modify the puppy area and take out the kiddie pool because we had two escapees, so for the moment the little beasties are contained. Ella had a lot to say about that! Addie and her nuggets are all doing well. It was 3 weeks ago today she delivered her little bundles of joys and they’re all healthy, active and “fluffy” and range from 2 – 2.6 lbs.
Day 25: Day 27: Addie and her little peeps. We love you all!
Day 31: They’re awake and hungry! Haha!
Day 32 Day 36: Addie and Freddie! Day 44: Ella and Cole are not too worried about tippy, moving things.
Day 51: A little morning playtime.
Day 56: It’s like they became a pack of little hooligans when they got their sweaters on and went outside to play!! And if you’re looking to adopt your own special little nugget to chase around the yard. Think how much exercise you’ll get!
Day 59: Momma Addie joined in on the fun too! And don’t forget our very social, happy and fun Momma Addie is still looking for her forever home!
Day 70: Thank you Central Bark for inviting Addie and the Chubby Nuggets to the “Puppy Power Hour” yesterday.
They all had a blast and I was very proud of them all walking right into a new place confident and relaxed.
